| Eileen Cooper RA was born in 1953 in
Glossop, Derbyshire. She studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths College and the
Royal College of Art, London and is one of Britain's major figurative artists.
In 2001 she was elected Royal Academician and currently teaches at the Royal
Academy Schools and the Royal College of Art. Her work has a powerful visionary
edge, translating her own private experiences into images that speak directly
to a wide audience. Her paintings, drawings and prints balance on the fine
line between real life, memory, dream and fantasy and are realised in a highly
personalised style that is as distinctive as it is compelling. She has shown
in many national and international exhibitions and is represented in numerous
public and private collections. www.eileencooper.co.uk |
