GHISLAINE

HOWARD

Every day since October 2006 Ghislaine Howard has produced paintings inspired by news images featured in the Guardian newspaper.

365 represents a year's worth of these daily paintings and questions whether we are over exposed to images of conflict.

Each week in May Ghislaine will add a new painting to her display of 365 images.

Ghislaine will be giving talks about the exhibition at the museum on Saturday, May 9 and Saturday, May 16 at 2.15pm.

"Howard's art derives its strength from a visceral
sympathy with the human condition
expressed through the primal medium of paint"
